Although cut flowers can be considered as ‘still life’, here they are presented in their own category, with roses on their own page due to their importance in the artist’s artwork.
Clemence St-Laurent has generally signed her paintings as such – ‘Clemence St-Laurent’, although some of them also display her maiden name, ‘Landry’. In addition, on the back of some of her paintings she wrote her name as ‘Clemence Landry St-Laurent’, even though she signed ‘Clemence St-Laurent’ on the painting itself.
Unless indicated otherwise, the paintings by Clemence Saint-Laurent were done on canvas panels. Dimensions are given in inches, with centimeters in brackets. The first number is the height.
